Welcome Maz, CommunityLIFE SA’s First Ambassador!

This month we’re thrilled to announce CommunityLIFE SA’s first ambassador, Mary-Anne Maio!

Maz is a familiar voice to many Adelaide listeners through her work at Life FM. She currently hosts Maz for the Drive Home (3-6pm weekdays) after previously spending five years at the helm of The Takeover. Throughout her radio career, connecting with people and encouraging community have been recurring themes in her work.

We’re so grateful that Maz has decided to use her voice to speak up for people doing it tough, and to help more South Australians discover the work of CommunityLIFE SA.

At its heart, ambassadorship is about recognising that there are many gifts people can use to contribute to their community. Some give their time, some volunteer their skills, some donate, and some have a voice or a platform that can help important stories reach people who might otherwise never hear them.

That’s the role we hope our ambassadors will play: people who share our belief in compassion, inclusion, connection and community, and who are willing to stand alongside us and help others understand why this work matters.

And Maz has already jumped in! Earlier this month she shared her first message as a CommunityLIFE SA ambassador, supporting our GiveNow campaign and helping spread the word about emergency relief and community connection.

We’re delighted to have Maz alongside us, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this new chapter takes us.
